Michelle Allison

Michelle Allison joined TCA in 2010 with her husband Josh and then two children Elliot and Elise. After a brief hiatus in 2011, following the arrival of twin girls, Michelle and her family have been actively enjoying family swim and tennis activities. After almost 20 years, she is back on the court and relearning the game. Michelle is a licensed architect and co-founder of Strata Design, a women owned company founded in 2007. She has developed many community planning projects for the City of Albuquerque and designs single family additions and remodels. As an active mother of young children, Michelle is interested in youth programs and opportunities for parents of young children to engage in tennis and swimming. She served for 7 years on the Nob Hill/Highland Renaissance Corporation board, as co-President, Vice-President and Secretary and on the board of the Gardner’s Guild for 3 years. She enjoys spending active time with her family, playing tennis, entertaining and all things francophile!

Andrew Michael Barnes, MBA

I have been a member of TCA for the past five years along with my wife Chelsea and our three children, Isabella (13), Jackson (4), and Cassidy (2). Professionally, I am a Registered Representative for NYLife Securities LLC and an Agent for the New York Life Insurance Company. Previously, I owned a small business, Desert Mountain Accounting and Business Consulting, which I started in 2000 and closed in 2012 in order to move onto working with a Fortune 100 company.

My business experience has helped me in Board of Director positions with the East Mountain Chamber of Commerce, the Los Lunas Chamber of Commerce, Project Peacepal, as well as an Ambassadorship with the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce. I’ve served as Treasurer on all three boards that I have served on.

I have been playing on the club ladder along with other intraclub league since we joined. The past two years, I have joined 5 USTA club teams and have really enjoyed every moment. I even captained a team that made it to Sectionals (I may have to retire from captaining in order to keep my perfect record in tact!) My wife Chelsea joined 2 USTA teams this past year and won a divisional championship along the way. A very satisfying finish to her first season indeed!

Isabella is a member of the TCA swim team and came in 2nd place overall in the Sundance meet, helping TCA to a 2nd place overall TEAM finish. It was a tremendous accomplishment for the club and our kids who worked so hard to achieve such a team goal. Certainly something the club can hang their hat on when looking to increase future membership at TCA.

My son Jackson and daughter Cassidy love TCA so much. Future TCA champions indeed! We feel that TCA is an incredibly valuable resource for our family and would like to help out to see that it continues to be so well into the future. Please feel free to contact me at 505-440-4003 if you would like to me to answer any questions you might have in regards to me running for the Board of Directors at TCA. I look forward to speaking to you.

Hello, I was a junior member during the late 1970’s and very early 1980’s while playing on the Highland High School Tennis team. It was wonderful to return with my family 30 years later. Mark, Audry and I joined TCA about two years ago; mostly for the tennis and some family fun. It has turned out to be so much more. We really have enjoyed the club since joining and truly feel right at home. It is a wonderful place and group of people to be a part of.

Both Audry and I are quite active tennis players. Audry, our 11 year old daughter had her first lesson at TCA. She most recently played for the Jefferson Middle School Tennis team as a 6th grader, and prior to that played on TCA’s 12’s and 10 and under teams. She loves the Punks & Relics Tournaments and invites other kids to TCA to play. For myself, I really enjoy the ladder this time of year. Besides that, I have played on Mixed and Women’s USTA teams, some of our intra-club teams and have co-captained. The whole family loves the family fun days and the mix-it-ups.

I moved to Albuquerque while a sophomore in High School. Education includes two Masters’ degrees; one from UNM in Economics and an Applied Statistics degree from NMSU. I have spent my career at UNM, first as an Economist and more recently as a Research Scientist. I feel that TCA has so much to offer and am very much looking forward to supporting that in any way possible.

I would appreciate your consideration for Board of Directors for TCA.

I have been a member of TCA since 1986. My four daughters – Vanessa, Abbi, Ashley and Kammi – were practically raised at TCA. My husband, Gregg Flynn, and I enjoy not only the physical fitness aspects of the Club but the social aspects as well. We have made many a great friend at TCA.

I am pleased to have served on the Board of Directors in years past. Of note, I served as Secretary of the Board during the development of the Fitness Center and was proud to serve as President during the 50th Anniversary of TCA.

I believe my past experience will help ensure a smooth transition as we welcome our new Pro and I wish to be an active part of all the new and exciting changes that are coming to TCA.

I thank you for your vote for Board of Directors.
